APPLICATION
BS5467 armoured power cable 600/1000V
is designed for fixed low voltage
power distribution.
It is suitable for commercial buildings,
industrial facilities, infrastructure projects,
outdoor installations, cable ducts,
direct burial routes and EV charging infrastructure.
The cable is designed with XLPE insulation,
PVC outer sheath and mechanical armour protection.
The XLPE insulation provides reliable
electrical performance and thermal stability.
The PVC sheath provides general protection
against moisture, abrasion and normal
installation conditions.
For single core AC systems,
aluminium wire armour is commonly used
to reduce magnetic losses.
For multicore cables,
steel wire armour provides mechanical protection
for fixed installation routes.
This cable is commonly installed on cable trays,
in ducts, in trenches, underground
and in outdoor power distribution systems.
It is suitable for applications where
mechanical protection, stable power supply
and fixed installation are required.
The cable should be selected according to
voltage rating, number of cores,
conductor size, conductor material,
armour type, installation method
and project specification.

FAQ
What is BS5467 cable used for?
BS5467 cable is used for fixed
low voltage power distribution.
It is suitable for buildings,
industrial facilities, infrastructure projects,
outdoor installations, underground routes
and EV charging infrastructure.
What is the voltage rating of this cable?
This page is for 600/1000V
BS5467 armoured power cable.
Is BS5467 cable LSZH?
No. BS5467 cable normally uses
a PVC outer sheath.
If low smoke zero halogen sheath
performance is required, BS6724 cable
is usually selected instead.
Is this cable fire resistant?
BS5467 cable is a PVC sheathed
armoured power cable.
It should not be described as a
BS6387 circuit integrity fire resistant cable
unless mica tape and circuit integrity
performance are specified.
Is this cable armoured?
Yes. This page is for armoured
BS5467 power cable.
Single core cables are normally supplied
with AWA armour.
Multicore cables are normally supplied
with SWA or GSWA armour.
Can BS5467 cable be used underground?
Yes. BS5467 armoured cable can be used
in underground routes, cable ducts
and direct burial applications,
subject to project specification
and local installation requirements.
What information is required for quotation?
Please confirm voltage rating,
number of cores, conductor size,
conductor material, armour type
and cable length.
Installation method, sheath colour,
standard and destination port
are also required.
Can BURYCABLE supply BS5467
armoured power cable?
Yes. BURYCABLE can supply BS5467
600/1000V XLPE insulated PVC sheathed
armoured power cables.
We can support single core and multicore
constructions, copper or aluminium conductors,
different armour types, lengths
